Yeon-joo is a widow, exhausted by the monotony of her life and the conflict with her insecure daughter. When she decides to rent the room on the second floor due to financial difficulty, Chang-in, a guy who’s been observing the mother and the daughter, suddenly appears, claiming to be a writer in need of a quiet room. However, neighbors begin to notice that Chang-in comes downstairs and acts suspiciously whenever the mother and the daughter leave the house.
